About us

We built a therapy practice with no waiting room

Connected Care Health sees teens ages 12 and up and adults in Pennsylvania and Georgia entirely by secure video, from 9 AM to 9 PM, every day of the week. Here's who we are, how we work, and who leads the practice.

Who we are

One practice, two states, and no office to drive to

Connected Care Health is a behavioral health practice for adults and teens ages 12 and up. We see clients anywhere in Pennsylvania and Georgia, and we meet with them only by secure video. There's no front desk and no parking lot. Your session starts when you open the link.

Our clinicians offer five kinds of care: EMDR therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, weekly outpatient therapy, and an Intensive Outpatient Program for stretches that call for more support. Appointments run from 9 AM to 9 PM, every day of the week, and across the team, sessions are available in 8 languages.

The name is the point. Therapy works best when it's connected to the rest of your life, so we fit sessions into your week instead of asking you to rebuild your week around them.

Our approach

Well-researched methods, chosen for the person on the screen

Our clinicians draw on approaches with solid research behind them, including EMDR for trauma, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and family systems work. Which ones we use depends on what you're dealing with and what you want to change, not on a house formula.

Care is trauma-informed from the first call. That means we ask before we assume, move at a pace you can manage, and explain why we're suggesting something before we suggest it.

We also check whether it's working. You and your clinician set goals early and look back at them regularly. If progress stalls, we adjust the plan, add a different kind of care, or talk with you honestly about whether another level of support would serve you better.

Leadership

Dr. John Gore

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Ed.D, LPC, LCADC, ACS, CCS

Dr. Gore started Connected Care Health so that people in Pennsylvania and Georgia could see a licensed therapist without a commute or a weekday-only schedule. A Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Trauma Professional, he leads the practice and supervises its clinicians, with a clinical background in trauma, addiction, and family care.

That background shows in what the practice offers: EMDR for trauma, counseling for substance use in outpatient and intensive outpatient care, and family therapy for teens and the people who raise them.

What makes us different

Built around the reasons people put off therapy

Most of what we've designed answers a practical question: what would make it easier to start, and easier to keep going?

  • Evenings and weekends are regular hours

The schedule runs 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week. A Saturday morning or a 7:30 PM session on a weeknight isn't a special request.

  • Five kinds of care under one roof

Weekly therapy, EMDR, couples and family sessions, and an Intensive Outpatient Program all sit in one practice. Changing the kind of support you get doesn't mean starting over somewhere new.

  • The whole state, not just the cities

A client in a township two hours from the nearest practice has the same clinicians and the same hours as someone downtown.

  • Care in 8 languages

Across the clinical team, sessions are offered in English, Spanish, Arabic, Polish, Hindi, Urdu, Pashto, and American Sign Language (ASL).

  • Teens and the adults around them

We see teens from age 12, one-on-one and with parents in family therapy, and we explain consent and privacy for clients under 18 before the first session.

  • Help with insurance up front

We accept major plans in both states and help you check your benefits before you start, so the first bill isn't the first time you learn what you owe.

Clinical quality

Licensed, supervised, and trained for care at a distance

Every Connected Care clinician is licensed in the state where they see clients. From there, the work is supported by regular clinical supervision, case consultation when a situation calls for a second opinion, and continuing education in the methods our clients ask for.

Video care has its own safety basics, and we treat them as part of the job. That includes confirming where you are at the start of a session, having a plan in case the connection drops, and knowing how to reach local emergency help if it's ever needed.

Culturally informed care

Therapy in the language you think in

Hard feelings are often easiest to describe in a first language. Across our clinical team, sessions are offered in English, Spanish, Arabic, Polish, Hindi, Urdu, Pashto, and American Sign Language (ASL).

Language is only part of it. Culture, faith, family expectations, and community all shape how people talk about stress and what help looks like. Our clinicians ask about those things rather than guess, and they work within your values instead of around them.

Mention your preferred language when you reach out, and we'll work on matching you with a clinician who speaks it.

Anywhere in Pennsylvania and Georgia, by video

You need to be in one of these two states during each session. Where in the state doesn't matter.
